The MMHA provides oversight to the hospital. The Board of Trustees is comprised of 7 seats who are elected by members of the Association. The Board meets with hospital leadership on a monthly basis to hear updates and discuss hospital business and financials.

 

The Board of Trustees and the Munising Memorial Hospital Association, as a whole, provide valuable experience, leadership, and direction to the hospital. It is an integral part of who we are as an organization. The Association allows our community and hospital to work together to support the healthcare needs of our region.

 

Association members are encouraged to join the annual meeting in June to vote on pertinent matters such as board member offices. Annual membership dues are $20/person or $25/couple and are due by April 15th each year.

 

Beginning in 2024, all membership dues collected for the year will be awarded in the form of a scholarship to a local graduating senior pursuing a degree in the field of healthcare. Munising Memorial Hospital is committed to improving access to quality healthcare. Our hope is that the scholarship will help pave the way for our local Youth to become the literal lifelines of our community and others like us.
