Available Positions

Currently seeking an occasional Radiologic Technician. This position would mostly be for weekend call coverage and filling in as needed.

JOB SUMMARY:   A Radiologic Technologist is a healthcare professional that is qualified by professional credentialing and academic and clinical experience to provide diagnostic patient care services using radiologic diagnostic equipment and procedures. The scope of practice includes those procedures, acts and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience, has demonstrated competency, and has completed the appropriate ARRT certification which is the standard of practice in radiologic science.


Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic radiologic examinations
  • Coordinates work schedule with the Chief Radiologic Technician and/or scheduling desk to assure workload coverage.
  • Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental and physical, of patients while they are in the radiology department.
  • Assists with the daily operations of the radiology department.
  • Maintains radiologic equipment and work area, and maintains adequate supplies.
  • Participates in maintenance of appropriate accreditation.
  • Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with all interrelating hospitals, referral or commercial agencies.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Checks provider orders and appropriateness of exam
  • Uses proper body mechanics when assisting patients.
  • Obtains appropriate patient history relating to ordered exam.
  • Explains procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to the exam.
  • Performs all requested examinations as ordered by the ordering physician/provider.
  • Coordinates with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided.
  • Addresses problems of patient care as they arise and makes decisions to appropriately resolve the problems.
  • Organizes daily work schedule and performs related clerical duties as required.
  • Assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients in the radiology department.
  • Reports equipment problems/failures to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintains equipment and rooms to sanitary conditions.
  • Provides after hours support, including being on call, for the entire radiology department.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiography
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged walking/standing/sitting.
  • Ability to lift and position patients with assistance of other personnel.
  • Ability to push patients on gurneys/in wheelchairs.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Requires normal vision range
  • Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Requires repetitive motion.


Currently seeking full-time and part-time LPN and/or Certified Medical Assistant. This position would be located in Bay Care Clinic.

JOB SUMMARY:   Provides direct and indirect patient care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general needs of the patients. Provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations under the supervision of the Office Administrator and Providers. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards.


Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Prepares patient and equipment required for examination and treatment by the provider.
  • Communicates results to patients as instructed and/or communicates with the provider the results that need addressing.
  • Coordinates prescription refills and mail order prescriptions for patient.
  • Obtains prescription pre-authorized as needed.
  • Schedules referral appointments and pre-authorization as instructed.
  • Scans documents into electronic patient charts.
  • Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standards of care for patient’s age.
  • Maintains current knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and his/her clinical condition.
  • Maintains accurate and continued documentation.
  • Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning. Then teaches the patient and family about their care while in the medical office and while at home.
  • Demonstrates an ability to assist the provider with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills under the direction of the provider.
  • Performs random and scheduled drug screens per federal regulations.
  • Function as liaison between administration, patients, providers, and other healthcare staff.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the patient population served.
  • Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.
  • Floats from assignment to accommodate personnel shortage. Able to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.

Regulatory Requirements:

  • Current unrestricted Practical Nurse license for the State of Michigan, or Certified Medical Assistant certification required.
  • BLS certification current or within 3 months of hire required.
  • Current/unrestricted drug screen collector certification preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling twisting.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Agility and strength sufficient to handle patients and equipment without assistance.
  • Must be able to appropriately respond physically and psychologically to emergency situations.
  • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other health conditions.

Volunteer Program

September 2017, MMH launched our Volunteer Program after the auxiliary dissolved in early 2017. The goal is for MMH to once again become the Community Hospital by getting the community involved and volunteering. Currently, there are 4 different positions available to volunteers: Greeter, Cafe, Special Events, and Patient Activities.
