Emergency Department visits can be stressful and we make it our goal to reduce your fears by delivering the best care possible. Our Emergency Department staff can assess, treat, stabilize, and start the health management of people who have come to the Emergency Department with a serious illness or injury.  If transport to another facility is required, our staff will stabilize the patient, make arrangements and prepare them for an ambulance ride.

Emergency Nursing Services

Munising Memorial Hospital provides professional, compassionate, and comprehensive care. We provide quality care and service for all your healthcare needs. Our inpatient area is designed with the patient in mind. MMH has an 11-bed nursing area, where all rooms having a view of beautiful Lake Superior. We coordinate your care with in-facility services such as Laboratory, Radiology, Physical Therapy, and Dietary.

Short-Term Rehabilitation

Munising Memorial Hospital offers a short-term rehabilitation program to our patients. If you find yourself needing time to recover from a surgery, illness or injury, our short-term rehabilitation program, otherwise known as our swing bed program, would allow you to recover in a hospital setting, versus a nursing home. In the hospital, you would have easy access to quality nursing care and therapies. Our goal is to assist you or your loved one in becoming as independent as possible before discharge.
