Dr. Gast comes to Munising Memorial after 26 years of clinical experience. He specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, treating patients that have arthritis, spinal cord injury, muscle disease, extremity pain, peripheral nerve impairments, etc.
Rodney Riesland is a Nurse Practitioner, specially trained to provide medical services, under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Jake Mackenzie is a Physician’s Assistant, specially trained to provide medical services, under the supervision of a licensed physician.

Wendy came to MMH in November of 2015 after five years as Comptroller of Upper Great Lakes Family Health organization and several years as Chief Financial Manager at U.P. Association of Rural Health. She has also worked in accounting for Blue Cross and for Marquette General Hospital. Ms Rautio is a graduate of Ishpeming High School and a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a B.A. in Accounting. In December 2016 she attained an M.A. in Business Administration from NMU.
Christi has 17 years’ experience at MMH, initially starting as an RN on the medical staff and for the last 10 years as the Compliance Officer. Ms. Salo earned a B.S. degree with a psychology major in 1995. She obtained her nursing education at Bay de Noc Community College and passed the licensure test to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN); she soon qualified to take (and pass) the stringent examination to become a Registered Nurse (RN). She was promoted to Chief Nursing Officer in 2016 and has excelled in this position as well.
